GREENSBURG, Indiana – A city worker has made accusations of sexual harassment in the Decatur County. Devan Sieg, the long-time Deputy City Clerk-Treasurer, has filed a sexual harassment complaint. She alleges that she was harassed by a mayoral appointee.
In the complaint, she accuses Street Commissioner Mark Klosterkemper of making inappropriate sexual comments. At one point, Sieg claims Klosterkemper “asked me how good I was at tying a cherry stem into a knot with my tongue …if I had a nooner with my husband at lunch.” Sieg then brought up the complaint but nothing was done to discipline Klosterkemper. “When she saw that nothing had happened to (Klosterkemper) she submitted an official complaint,” said Sieg’s lawyer Kim Jeselskis. “She now feels retaliated against.”
“(Sieg) noticed something on my computer tower under my desk, so I reached down and found a 1/2 used bottle of Penis Massage Cream. The label on the bottle read ‘Everyone Loves A Happy Penis,’” read the complaint.
Now, The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is involved, investigating the incident, as well as the alleged dismissal of the situation by Mayor Gary Herbert as “horseplay.”
“The street commissioner is a friend of the Mayor, so how can his investigation be unbiased?” asked Jeselskis. Mayor Herbert was unable to comment.
